Site and DefaultSiteLink Question

Hi,

I have what I think is a relatively simple question:

We want to define sites in our AD, purely to control which DC/GC or DFS
server our client workstations use; The network is well connected, with
nothing less than 10Mb between any of the sites so we don't want/need to
control or limit replication.

My question is, if I don't want to control replication can I simple assign
all my sites to the DEFAULTIPSITELINK, and expect directory replication to
work correctly?. I may want to reduce the default replication time down to
15 mins or so, but that's about it. It seems to me that i only need to
create new site links if I want to make sites replicate on different
schedules/frequency etc, and as I don't it should be OK to put everything
into the default link. Does anybody have any info, or experience of doing
this

Many thanks

You are correct. The only other advantage of having more than one site link
is to control who can replicate from which servers without switching
everything to a manual typology.

Richard,

Thanks for confirming my site and site link thoughts, i appreciate your
quick response.
