Hello, My name is John and this is my first post here.
I am using a single user machine, that has the printer and scanner
connected to it with two other computers in our home using those by
wireless network connection.
I was having admin issues (or the lack) so I just busted down and
rebuilt my hdd. I am about complete with the new install but want to
get advice before I go any further.
I set a password for the admin.
I created a second administrator account and gave it a password. (lets
call it xp2.)
I (think) I want to create and use an autologin default user for
everyday use (no password). (lets call it me) I am somewhat confused
(very easy for me) on how best to setup and run the daily use profile
(me).
I have loaded everything so far in the default administrator user
profile. When I logged on with the (me) user profile, and clicked on
Netscape to check mail, it wanted to set up a new account.
Should I delete the programs and reload them under (me) and use (xp2)
for oversite administration or is there a better way. I read earlier
today that it is not good to run in an admin. account mode.
What's the suggestions from the informed minds here??
thanks
John
