I am trying to use the info here
http://www.attcanada.net/~kallal.msn/msaccess/msaccess.html

When I click the command button the word merge template appears. I have entered my template. When I select it word open-but no document opens. I have imported forms
GuiProgress
GuiWordTemplate
& code modules
clsRidesPBar (the progress bar code)
WordCode (the code for Word Merge)

I have verified Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library is selected.

Any ideas what else I need to check.

Thanks so much for any help.

The first question I would ask is does the sample download work?

Lets try and get the sample download working first. If that works, then lets
try the next step.

So, does the above sample work on your pc?

If the sample works, then try creating a new template. Make sure that your
sample template has at least ONE merge field inserted.

I have noticed that if you create a template, but have NO merge fields, then
word does NOT seem open the template, but presents you with a blank page.

So, does the sample download work?.

No the sample is doing the exact same thing. Opening word- but not opening a document. Not even a blank document opens. I am using Access 2003 and Word 200
Thanks so much for your assistance

So, when running MY sample, were you able to create a template as outlined
step by step here:

http://www.attcanada.net/~kallal.msn/wordmerge/index.html

In other words, can you get as far as creating the template, and adding the
merge fields as above?

Yes, I can creat the template, add the merge fields and save
Then when I select the template and click, Ok- merge to word,Word opens, and that's it

Hum, so you are seeing those merge fields, and can insert fields from the
database into the template.

This is good!

I have not yet tested the example with access 2003/word 2003. And of point,
I have the new office 2003 cd sitting right in front of me.

Perhaps you could test and try working the sample download on a different pc
just to make you get the hang of using that sample download. (try access
2002). However, I don't see why it don't work for a2003...it should.

That sample is downloaded a LOT of times, and I find it hard to believe that
you are the first a2003 download. You might be...but I doubt it.

Do you have any other pc you can try this on?

I am right now at a loss as to why it don't work. Gee, perahps my sample is
not going to work for you.

Hmmm.. Unfortunetly, I do not have access to another computer to try this on. I work from home.
If anyone has used this on Office 03, maybe they'll chime in. I'll keep workiing on it too.
Thanks so much for trying to help me.
