Could anybody explain the concept "Single forest Multiple domains"? I remember seeing a design where by tom.com (first forest) and tom1.com, tom2.com (multiple domains, seperate sites). How is it possible from W2K point and Exchange 2000 point? Please explain if anbody have a clue.

Thanks

Rather than think single forest, multiple domains try thinking single
forest, multiple tree namespaces. While the forest is built around a single
rootDC, you can trust and resolve additional trees from the root forest
layer.

"Domain trees associated in a forest share the same Active Directory schema
and directory configuration and replication information, but do not share a
contiguous DNS domain namespace."
