We have a single machine that will not maintain a client
license on any of our application terminal servers.
Here are some symptoms:
1) The machine can connect to a server running
administrative mode terminal services.
2) If we delete the MSLicensing registry entry the machine
can connect to an application mode server. But only once!
If the connection is broken the machine cannot connect
again, unless the registry key is deleted.
3) Each connection established after the registry key is
removed results in a new license being generated on the
License server.
4) If we delete the MSLicensing key, connect, disconnect
and attempt to reconnect the errors on the server seem to
indicate that a license could not be retrieved from the
Licensing server.
5) The machine in question was connecting to all of the
application mode servers just a few weeks ago.
We have tried a variety of OS from 2000 Pro to XP Pro to
2003 Server on the machine. The problem seems to be with
the machine rather than the OS or the location. There is
another machine at the same location that can connect.
This is very baffling and I am at the end of my rope.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
