I had xp loaded on my desktop and had the express upgrade to vista from dell
delivered to me. Since i have upgraded to Vista my Hard drives dont ever stop
making the tasking noise and just seem to continuosly keep loading something.
I have closed all apps and had only core processes running and am very
confused to why this is, I am considering downgrading back to XP over it. Any
help or ideals would be nice, thanks.

P.S. my computer is setup in RAID 0 with dual 160g and should run vista with
out a problem.

It's the drive indexing. Seems to take a few days. It'll stop
eventually.

It's Window Vista not your harddrive, I'm also struggling same the same
issue. Have you tried putting your computer to sleep mode for 3 second and
wake it up. Check if the problem is gone.

Why is it a "problem"??? It's just Vista doing its thing. Indexing, and
also pre-loading RAM with commonly used files for more rapid application
launch.

Just relax!
