Since installing SP2 my computer says "Virus protection is turned off." (Pc-Cillin)

But it's not turned off. It seems to be working correctly, except it
won't update automatically anymore.

How do I tell SP2 that PC-Cillin is working, and how do I get it to
update like it did before?

tnx..........

Have you updated PC-Cillin? Most AV makers have put out updates for SP2.

Maybe XP2's Security center doesn't recognize the version of PC-Cillin
you have. Which version is it? BTW, XP's Security Center should not
affect PC-Cillin's ability to update itself. Have you tried to manually
update PC-Cillin?

I've looked on the trendmicro site but haven't found any updates to
the 2002 software, but maybe I didn't look in the right
place............

I'm using version 2002. Thanks for your help.

I'm most positive the XP SP2 Security Center will not recognize older
versions of PC-Cillin. You can either upgrade or turn off the AV monitor
of the Security Center through Windows Control Panel.

No. You need to upgrade to PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005. If you have
a valid license for older PCC versions, you can upgrade for US $ 24.95.

And yes, I have to update manually now. I'd like it to go back to
auto.
If you decide *not* to upgrade, try placing an exception in the Windows
XP SP2 firewall to allow the update executable component of PCC to
communicate over port 80.

Thats why M$ don't own PC-Cillin , certificate, not supported and shit. If
you know it's working why bother?!

M$ tells me the same about my F-Secure but it works.
