Since installing SP 3 we can no longer open ppsm files

Since installing SP 3 we can no longer open ppsm files. This is because the
open command in the file association is deleted for some reason. Anyone can
tell me some alternative to reenable the same.
 
Installing SP3 to What? The only SP3 I know about is the one for XP is this what your referring?
