Simultaneous Cable and DSL on XP

I've received some conflicting information about whether it is
possible to run DSL and Cable modems simultaneously on an XP system.
I haven't tried it yet, but I do have two separate routers and a
switch. Current DSL has static IP, which may present a problem (or
maybe not).

I could conceivably hook up two separate computer systems--one
dedicated to each, but I'd rather not.

Any logistic problems in configuring this? I suppose I'd have to
figure out how to map an incoming news service to one channel or the
other.

You can hook them up but you can only have one active gateway. So unless you
plan to use one of them for static routing, what' the point?

Use one of your gateway for default, "if explicit router not found, go
there"

Then add to your routing table your oftenly accessed sites, and place
your other gateway for those.

Something like that.

and not interested to give your business free consulting.

Thank you.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. It doesn't sound simple, so I
guess the ISP's techs were correct. Well this time. The last time
they said "sure no problem."

I should try to ramp up on this stuff. Any recommended books or sites
that would cover nuts and bolts of XP networking and debugging?
