Hi. I am constructing an AD Win2k test lab and want to
simulate remote sites that will be on different subnets
that will be in their own subdomains of a single root
domain.
We don't have a spare router. I was thinking of using RRAS
on the DC's that have two NICs. I know how to set up RRAS
but I am not sure if this will accomplish what I want.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

Will it work if all the test servers that are in the
different subnets are connected to the same switch, or
does that matter?

Should work. Just configure the gateway on the clients to point to the
router. Any calls to the second subnet will be handled by the router.

A better solution to mirror real world would be a follows:

Clients--->Switch--->Router--->Switch--->Clients

Domain designation doesn't matter. That is the logical implementation. AD
sites is the physical implementation.

Thanks man, I have it working now.
