simulate WIFI network droping by diable/enabel NIC ?

Hi,

Im testing a dos based application over a win2k server to 2k clients and
want to simulate a wireless network dropping a connection.

By disabling the NIC from My Network Places properties and enabling again,
would this provide the same sort of dropping function ?

i.e is there any error checking that it does that im not aware of ?

Not quite. If the win2k server is wired to ethernet: connect win2k thru a hub, so it always will think its' connected.
Then unplug the hub from network :)
