Where can I find "Sorting and Grouping", (is not on the View menu)

I'm trying to sort a report by 2 variables: 1st) by DATE and
then by NAME, ...that's it....nothing else.

I went to: Advance filter Options I insert: first
Date/Ascending;...then Lname/Ascending then apply filter, and is not working.

Someone told me to check the Sorting and Grouping on the View menu;.. but is
not there!!!??! PLEASE I NEED THAT IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME!!!

Which version of Access are you using? It could vary, depending on version.

"Sorting and Grouping" is typically found when you are working with Reports
in design view.

Hernan,
Make sure that you have the report in the design view. Then you can go to
View on the toolbar and Sorting and Grouping will be there. Hope this helps.

Unless your application has replaced the default Report Design menu bar,
it should be there. Have you clicked the down-arrows at the bottom of
the the menu to make it show all entries, not just those that have been
used recently?

There's also a button on the toolbar to open the Sorting and Grouping
dialog. It's hard to describe, but if you hover your mouse over each
button in turn, a tooltip should appear telling what each one does.
Click the one that says "Sorting and Grouping".

I went to: Advance filter Options

That option is found when you are looking at the table.

The Grouping and sorting option is found under the View menu choice when you
are in report DESIGN mode.

Create a report, go into design view, select View and you find:

Design View
Layout View
Print Preview
-------------
Properties
Field List
Grouping and Sorting
(and more)
