Simple Textbox

Hi. I have a very basic question. I know how to put a textbox into a Word
document and flow text around it. But how do I do that in FrontPage? Nothing
I've tried seems to work. Any help? Thanks. -W
 
You really don't. The control that programs such as Word provide, as well as
programs like Publisher and Illustrator, simply don't work because HTML was
never designed for this sort of activity. Some things can be aligned in such
a way that text will flow to one side or thie other, but it can be tricky.
Images and tables can have their alignment set and have text flow around
them, but you have to be careful of how you handle this. You could use CSS,
but this is much more difficult and not something to try if you're just
starting out.
 
Thanks, Mark! I do believe you have saved me untold hours of frustration! As
a substitute for a textbox, could I convert my text into a jpeg and use the
picture as my "textbox" with text flowing around it? Just a thought. Any
ideas would be greatly appreciated. -W.
