The IE site isn't user friendly, or I'm 'searching' with the wrong
words. All I'd like to know is how to change which program is used
to open a site/photo when clicking on a link. Photos are opening
with my Kodak EasyShare Software and I'd like to change that to a more
responsive program. Have tried Options and have looked in Settings,
but can't figure it out! Thank you.

Hi Starlight :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

How to set default program for viewing images

In Windows Explorer>Right click on an image you want to open in the other
program. Select Open with, then select the program you want it to open with
from the list, or add a program, and then close after it is opened in the
program.

Hope this helps

Jan :)

Thanks, Jan. I do that already, but would be nice if I could somehow,
somewhere set it so I don't have to right click all the time. Would
like it to automatically open in a program other than the Kodak one,
which is the latest we uploaded and probably why it's ended up as the
default.

Hi,

Go to control panel>Folder Options>File Types, scroll down to the image
extension, for example .jpg click change button, choose the program that
you want to use with that file type, click okay, then whenever you click on
that file, it will use the program you choose to view it.

Click once on the file you want to open to select it. Hold down the Shift
key and right-click on it. Select Open With. Select the program you want to
use, but before selecting OK, check the box at the bottom that says "Always
use....". Select OK.
