Sorry for what is probably a very lame question but...

Why is there a blue (1) out beside Calendar in my Outlook Today? I
have no appointments, no past appointments, no holidays, but I cannot
figure out what that blue (1) is supposed to represent?

Anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

you have a calendar item marked as unread - probably a meeting request.
Switch to by category view to look for it or just right click on the folder
and choose mark as read.

Thank you! I never realized the Calendar views particular items as
"Read" or "Unread".
