Hello,
I have two machines running XP Pro with all updates. With one I can right
click the drive letter and select the Security tab to see and change
permissions. On the other machine, the Security tab is not displayed for
either the drive root or any directories of files. This is true whether I
access the properties from either Windows Explorer or from the COmputer
Management util. I'm logged in with an Admin account on both machines.
I've tried comparing various drive, sharing, security, and user settings but
I haven't figured out what basic setting is disabling the Security tab
access, and of course a help and knowledgebase search hasn't worked.
I'm sure this is a simple question for you IT guys... how do I regain access
to the Security & Permissions settings tab?
