Simple Question about Outlook Events

I cannot seem to figure out which event is fired when a user scrolls through
the Items in a folder.
for each item that is selected is there an associated even that is fired.
Is there a way to identify the item and its properites without opening it?

I am hoping somone can point me in the right direction.

Take a look at the Explorer.SelectionChange event and Explorer.Selection
collection.
