I'm looking for a simple solution to a problem we have in the office.
Simply put, I would like to have the ability to:
1. Keep a log of who prints to the printer, and how much (page count).
2. If possible have an access control list for printing.
We have all Windows stations, and we have a Linux Samba machine as a
file server. The printer is connected directly to an XP station used
as a print server, and each Windows machine that needs to print simply
connects to the print share on the XP box. We don't use NT domains or
have an AD or anything like that.
Any ideas or solutions come to mind?
Thanks!
