Simple File Sharing

I understand that you can't disable the Simple File
Sharing feature when using XP Home edition, therefore you
also can't set file or folder permissions.

Here is my dilema, a friend of mine backed up some files
with "BackUp MyPC 5.0". He then proceeded to scrub his
computer and reinstall XP Home.

After restoring the files that he had backed up
previously, using the default settings, he was not able
to access the folder where the files were restored,
because his current Security ID no longer matches the
Security ID of the restored folder.

Nor can he change the permissions for the folder, which
would solve this dilema, because of the fact that you
can't disable the Simple File Sharing within XP Home.

I was able to get his files restored, to a different
location, without restoring the previous file and folder
permissions, which does allow him to access the files, so
this is not a problem.

But now he's stuck with this other folder on his system
that he can do nothing with, which by the way, contains
over 18 Mb of data. Is there any way to delete this
folder without having permissions. I have tried Safe
Mode with no luck.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
