This will probably be easy for most to solve, but I have
not been able to figure out a solution.
Here's the set-up:
A simple spreadsheet with two columns. The first column
lists several hundred Student Numbers throughout the
State that have completed a SAT Test.
The second column is a listing of Student Numbers from an
individual School District - some which have taken the
SAT and others that have not.
Here's the question:
How do I get Excel to review each cell in the second
column against all of the cells in the first column and
determine the matches?
Said another way, how do I get Excel to determine whether
each Student Number in the District list has completed
the State SAT Test?
I've tried an IF statement and I've looked at a VLOOKUP
but still have not identified a solution.
Please advise if you have any ideas.
Thanks in advance.
