Simple benchmark to confirm Dual Core working OK?

Can anyone suggest a nice, simple, benchmark program that would let me
confirm that my AMD 4400+ is working correctly on both cores (AV8
motherboard; XP Pro)?

I'm not looking to overclock or do anything fancy - I just want to make
sure that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with my setup.

Suggestions, please

If you're using Windows, how about Task Manager?
Once you've got Task Manager running, click on the "Performance" tab. And
then in the "View" dropdown menu, look for the "CPU History" option and make
sure you have "one graph per CPU" clicked.
That'll give you graphs for each core separately, which should be the
verification you're looking for.

This is in XP x64. The verbiage and options may differ based on the Windows
version you're using.
