Simple Access db help?

I need help building a simple access database to complete
this task. I have a MS-xls spread sheet with 4 cols of
data. Col. one are part numbers that never change; Col.
two is the cost, which doesn't need to be changed by me.
Col three are items on hand that is changed in the
accountenting software, and Col. four is the inventory
count of each part. Now what I would like to do is, only
update the inventory count and thats it. The file is given
to me from accountenting with all information execpt the
inventory count. We make a hand written inventory count
and then have to input this count into the xls sheet
given. Any ideas on how to use a access database to undate
a xls spread sheet, and only undate or change one col.
