Hey people....

If i want to setup a network with a domain controller with 20-300 users, how
can I do this the easiest way...

-I need a Domain Controller.
-All user should have a folder on the server that gets mapped to the
desktop.
-I need a simpel , easy way to add more users and delete users from Active
directory...
-Should be able to make groups, 1 group for PR, 1 group for sales etc.. :-)

Or is there another simpel program that will allow me to do these things?
authenticate users, map drives... more easy then AD? :-)

It should be something like www.helmig.com .. easy to understand...

/sdf

(PS. I've never really liked the AD tools (MMC) that comes with windows
2000/2003,
cuz their just to complex for me to use...)

Server then run DCPromo (aka "Active Directory Installation Wizard.")

GPO -- Group Policies can direct this; you must create the actual
DIRECTORIES and SHARES to hold the folder contents.

AD Users and Computers is pretty easy and pretty simple -- if you mean
automated there are scripting methods but understand that like most such
automation you have to learn a bit in order to start AND THEN it gets
easier.

Don't confuse "authentication" (AD) with the various network task like
"Mapping drives" -- some of the latter can be done with user profiles and
Group Policies (from AD)

You get to pick the name Helmig.Com (not the www webserver) is a
perfectly good name for an AD domain (avoid using single tag names
for AD, e.g., helmig -- although this is a good choice for the "NetBIOS
compatible name" to go with Helmig.com)
