Similar resource sharing issue

I have a 2000 machine and an XP Home machine on a peer-to-
peer network through a router to share broadband. The 2000
can see the shares and printers on the XP machine but the
XP machine cannot see the shares on the 2000 box. I have
them both on the same workgroup and thought I had created
the user account for the XP user on the 2000 box but it
might not be an exact match in that the XP box does not
need a password to start.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
 
You must have both users on both computers spelled exactly
the same with the same passwords in order to see shared
directories and shared printers.
