I've been trying to either totally remove or completely install updates to
Silverlight for a long time now.

Now, it appears to be interfering with critical security updates.

I consistently get a "Not found on this network" message, error code: 0x64C.

Nonsense. It is a single box, no network installed. Satellite Internet. Dell
8300, 3GHz P4, 3GB RAM, 2 hard drives, one almsot totally empty (160GB) and
the C: drive, 40)GB, with 171GB free.

Basically, I want it gone, I think, because it has been a nuisance for
months.
