Signature optional?

Is there a way in which a signature file can be optional
so the default is "no sig" and selection can be by choice.

I've created one and now it's automatic which looks a bit
pratty sent to someone I know well.

I'd create a second, blank signature, and set it as the default.
Then, when you want to use your other signature just Insert |
Signature, and select your other one. That's what I'd try, at least -
