Signature Has Extra Characters Above It

I decided to update my signature a few days ago and saved my changes. Now
whenever I start a new message a few extra characters appear above my
signature.

I have tried to delete my signature and restart the program. I have created
new signatures and tried to use them, but those characters always appear
right above my name and I cannot seem to get rid of them. They do not appear
anywhere else that I can find.

Please help me get rid of them!

This "looks" like some sort of byte order mark (BOM); do you use Unicode
in your signature or message body?

I have no idea what that means. All I know is that I went into the signature
area to update the information and after I saved it those characters showed
up and I cannot seem to get rid of them. I used the advanced feature to see
if there were any other options for creating a nice signature and after I
found out that all it did was open up Word I closed it and chose to update
the signature in the regular place in Outlook without any fancy fonts, etc.

Please help me with this. It looks like I am not the only one - there seems
to be a couple of others who are having the same problem. Is this something
new that no one knows how to fix?
