Trying to switch from Eudora to Outlook Express 6, and having no luck with
formatting the signature. If I stay in "text" I loose all fonts, colors, etc.
If I try to copy and store the signature in "file", Outlook won't bring in
the signature from the stored area. I've tried storing in it .doc and .txt
and other formats too. I've been composing the formatted signature in Word
2007, and I've tried importing it from Eudora too. HELP! Thanks

Save it as .htm. Either that or compose the signatures in an Outlook
email and then go to Tools/Options/Mail Format/Signatures button and
click on New and copy and paste what you composed in the email.

You are in the Outlook newsgroup...not the Outlook Express newsgroup. They
are different programs but.. Here's what Bruce Hagen sent me. Works great.

Tools | Options | Signatures | New.

Or are you asking about a sig with graphics?

Note: HTML Signatures must be less than 4KB.

Open a New Message window and create your signature. (Insert graphic &
text). Click the Source Tab. (View | Source Edit if not already checked).
Highlight the entire source code and copy / paste into Notepad. File | Save
As and in the File Name field, save as an htm file, (i.e. Sig1.htm). It will
be saved to My Documents by default. Go to Tools | Options | Signatures.
Click: File | Browse and Insert your saved signature | Apply. You can rename
it now if you wish.

Of course, if the recipient is reading in Plain Text, they won't see it.

Forget what I said. I thought you meant Outlook, not Outhouse Distress.

Bruce:

Thank you very much! I will try this in a right after the weekend. I just
wish that Outlook 6 was as easy as Eudora. Maybe it will be with time......

I have a best friend who insisted on using Eudora but kept asking me for
assistance with his problems. I kept telling him I know NOTHING about
Eudora... that if he wishes to have help to please use a standard email
program. After a few years of that he finally tried Outlook Express and
immediately loved it and changed over.
