signature error-qedit.dll

I can't start Movie Maker 2 because of a signature error, which points to "qedit.dll". I have searched my hard drive and find this file in two places:

c:\Windows\system32 (version 6.5.1.900) - this file can't be changed or deleted, and
c:\Windows\Registered Packages {44BBA855-CC51-11CF-AAFA-00AA00B6015C} (version 6.3.1.881) - I can delete or change this file but no relief to the problem).

Does anybody know what's going on?
 
Check the info about QEDIT.DLL on the Problem Solving > Software Modules
page of www.papajohn.org

Looks like upgrading your version of Direct X might be the thing to try.
