When i edit my signature in the 'advanced edit' mode it
opens word as the editor. when some of my users do the
same it opens in notepad. we are all on outlook 2003 and
all have word as our editors, all use html.
Not sure why this is happening.
Thanks if you can.

So you have selected Word as the default mail editor in Outlook Options? And
on the workstations which open in notepad, what happens if you d-click a doc
file? Try renaming the notepad.exe to something else, then edit your sig.
What happens now?

It *may* have to do with whichever program is listed as Windows' default web
editor: Word or Notepad. Open IE and look in Tools>Internet Options,
Programs tab.

Check your Control Panel>Internet Options>Programs tab and see what's in the
"HTML editor" drop-down.
