I've just setup mail and want to use it only for newsgroups (I use outlook
for mail) but I can't seem to be able to do a signature it's blanked out
under insert, so how do I get a signature?

James
They think it's all over.... it is now.
Take the FUN out of my email to reply.

Can you clarify what "mail" you want to setup and use for newsgroups?

The one that comes with vista, windows mail I normally use agent for news
but for some reason it will not run.

Good question.

I had not looked at the signature capability before, but
mine is the same way and I can't add a signature to outgoing
mail.

Is this a bug? Or is there some trick to get this to work?

I have to retract my previous statement.

I selected <New> and it asked for the text. I typed in what
I wanted, selected <Apply> and my outgoing mail now has a
signature.

Try that and it worked, so thank you all, now how do I stop it top posting
No don't answer that.

Go into Options, Advanced, and under Reply/Forward click on
"Compose reply at the bottom of the original message."

You can find the answer in Advanced Options.

On the signature tab just click the New button, add your signature text then
click OK. If you need your signature to be added to all outgoing emails make
sure you tick the box marked 'Add signature to all outgoing messages' in the
signature settings section. Alternatively, you can manually add your
signature by leaving the 'add signature to all outgoing messages' disabled
(without a check mark) and then, after completing your email, clicking
Insert ont he main toolbar and selecting signature.
