Hi Joey,
XP uses built-in drivers and ingame settings instead of profile software:
To install your controller in XP* Plug it in, click Start / Control Panel /
Switch to Classic view if you haven't already / click Game Controllers
Click Add... / Select Microsoft Sidewinder Auto Detect / OK / OK.
*USB ones should autodetect without requiring you to use those steps.
