Does windows xp support this joystick.

I don't have mine connected at the moment (and haven't bothered to connect
it since moving to Windows XP). However, it probably works similar to
Windows 2000. Open the Game Controllers applet in Control Panel, click Add,
and select the "Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto Detect)". Maybe it'll then load
in the embedded drivers for your version of Sidewinder.

You can get basic functionality for this device because the drivers are
already in Windows XP, but the software for mapping keyboard buttons to
controller buttons isn't available. There are no plans to update the
keymapping software.
To use the device do the following:
1. Connect the device to the gameport
2. Start -> Run -> Control Panel
3. Switch to "Classic View".
4. Run the Gaming Options control
5. In Gaming Options Click the "Add..." button.
6. From the list choose "Microsoft SideWinder (Auto Detect)"
7. This should install your device.
