I recently bought a regular sidewinder game pad. I was
suprized to see no disk in the package, but thought that
no disk was needed with Windows XP driver recognition. XP
does recognize the pad, but after a lot of net researching
I have found that you can't program buttons without the
4.0 game controller software.
After further research I found that the sidewinder website
doesen't even have the software needed to make that work.
If no software is available in the packaging and no
software is available at the website where do I get the
software?
I have found one post from MS that says to give them $10
shipping and handling to recieve a 'new' disk. I didn't
get one in the first place. Does anyone know where to
find the 4.0 game controller? I want to simply download
the software and install it rather than wasting $10 (half
the price of the sidewinder) to get the software three
weeks from now.
Are there plans to make the software available? Why not?
