No, there are no 64-bit drivers included. I understand there is a Logitech
device that has drivers, but which one, I have no idea.

Microsoft is not supporting any "gameport" devices anymore. They were not
providing any newer drivers that the one that were shipped in XP 32bit. I
guess that they removed them from the 64bit version.

A simple gameport to USB adapter won't work if the device was not designed
to work with it.

There are more complex converters that can convert gameport signals into USB
signals. Examples of such include these http://www.usb-port.com/rm203.html.
YMMV with these devices.

A better bet would be to get a gamepad that uses USB natively.

But by buying a "complex" convertor, it may cost the price of a new USB
joystick (that also includes a warranty!)

Exactly. Hence why i said it'd be better just to get a new device.

Those convertors will likely not give you full functionality of your old
device anyways.

my problem is that i havent found any joystick that i feel comfortable with,
i want find an joystick that are better then my sidewinder, but i havent :-(
, any joystick that you can recommend?
