I am having the same problem as Joe. I can not find out
why my SideWinder 3D PRO will not connect in Windows Xp
Home edition. Need to know where to find driver download
to make it operate. I bought it in 1978 so I know it is a
Plug and Play device and Xp recognixes it and tells me it
is ready to use but then it tells me it isn't connected.
Where the hell are these so-called Microsoft technicians??
We need answers!!!!

Usually if the message is 'not connected' it's not a problem with either XP
or the joystick but incorrect drivers for the gameport controller to which
you're connecting it. If it's on a soundcard, the drivers are part of the
soundcard driver package.
