I tried to take ownership but it would say "access denied".

Have you tried clicking on "Windows Sidebar" in the control panel and
clicking on "How do I customize Windows Sidebar?" in the panel? There
is
a
host of FAQs about the sidebar.
You can also go to the Windows Sidebar folder in C:\Program Files and
take
ownership of the folder. right-click on folder, select "properties",
click
"advanced", click "edit", click the "owner" tab and change the owner
to
your
user name.
message
When I try to start sidebar it says "only for administrator". Under
my
user
name it says "administrator". I already checked "start sidebar" at
startup
in sidebar properties but it didn't put the icon in the task bar
after
restart?
