Where do sidebar gadgets, such as newsfeed and weather, store their
information. For instance, when the weather gadget loads, it first shows the
old temperature, then will check for a new one. Attached with this old
temperature is a date when it was receieved. I want to ERASE the old
temperature becuase my weather gadget will not update since the old date
attached with that is feb 28th... and when I put my computer back to today's
date, it stopped updating, and is stuck on that temperature. Please let me
know if you know how to clear this out. I do not want to have to wait a
month. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, no luck.

ok i know how to fix it. create a new account log on to it and delte the old
one then just transfer over the docs then you got it working

Try this path:

C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Weather.Gadget

I would recommend closing the Sidebar first, go to the above path, rename
the file extensions in case this does not reset the weather, and run the
Sidebar again to see what happens.

Hope this helps.

No luck, note this is a 64 bit system.

The default sidebar settings for all users are stored in C:\Program
Files\Windows Sidebar

Not exactly an answer to your question but other people might find it useful
