Sidebar Gadget Icon

What does the icon of three rows of 2 dots mean alongside some the sidebar
gadgets? I know what the X does and the wrench sets preferences...but the 6
dot icon doesn't seem to do anything. What's it for?

That's the "grip pad"... grab it with a left mouse click and drag where you
want to.
