Hi All,

Just needed to know some information about the importance of a SID when
atatching a computer to the domain. In our organisation we have to run the
SID before connecting to the domain. I was wondering what is a SID and more
importantly what is it's significance.

The computer SID is a unique identifier (alphanumeric character string) that
is used to identify an object.
