Are the power supplies on recent Shuttle XPC models (for instance 45G)
available in Germany switching power supplies, so that I would be able
to use a Shuttle in both Germany and the US (w/appropriate cable)?
Thanks in advance.

There is a label where power connects. What does it say? A
universal power supply will operate and automatically adjust
for any voltage from 90 to 260 VAC. Universal supplies use an
IEC plug. For example, virtually all portable computers use
universal supplies. Therefore a power cord that connects that
IEC outlet to that countries wall receptacles is only
required.

Other less computers require a manual switch change. But
again, first read the manufacturers spec label located
somewhere adjacent to where power connects.

If a power supply is "switching", that has nothing to do with whether or
not it works on different voltages. Switching refers to transistors
providing high frequency power to the transformers.
