I have to shut down my computer twice before it actually shuts down, why?

Based on the amount of detail you included in your post...I haven't got

and software do not
want to close auto
matically and allow
windows to shut
down.
try booting in the safe
modes and see if shutting
down is better.
if so, then you will have
to tune up normal mode.

to access safemodes, hold
down the f8 key after
rebooting to bring up the
special boot menu.
