How can I shut down the Windows XP SP2 Windows Firewall...I need to, but
don't know how..answer asap..thx

Start>Run services.msc [enter]

Scroll down to Windows Firewall, double-click the entry, stop the
service, and change to Disabled.

Should I continue to use Zone Alarm with SP2 or use the built in Windows
firewall?

You should use ZoneAlarm. It's a much more complete firewall.
