phil

every single time i try and shut down or restart my
computer after i've been on the internet for any amount
of time the computer screen hangs on "saving your
settings". so i have to unplug or turn the power off to
the pc to shut down which i find really annoying, i am
running windows XP home edition and i have tried all
fixes and patches to try and rectify the problem but to
no avail. Any help in this matter would be extremely
useful and i would be extemely thankful.
Many Thanks Phil.

try deleting you temp folders, then if there are still problems change the
sound file for shut down, it could be a corrupt sound file,
to change the sound file go to control panel and click on sounds.
