Shutting down after a minute

I need help.

I downloaded the anti-spyware yesterday; it did fine at
first, finding and fixing some on-going spyware problems
I had with Explorer. Then I shut down and when I logged
back on, My computer would just shut off after about a
minute. It continually did so. It runs in Safe mode,
but I need a fix. I want to keep the spyware so I don't
want to have to do a system restore if I can help it.

Have you tried uninstalling MS Anti Spy while in safe mode? Also, in case
Anti Spy removed a file that is needed and is causing the issue, you can try
to reverse one of the actions Anti Spy took.

Restoring a Disabled Item (Blocked Event)
The Blocked Events section contains a list of all applications, programs, or
settings that have been disabled or blocked by a Security Agent. In the
Blocked Events section you can review all the items that have been either
blocked or disabled and decide if you want to permanently remove the item or
reactivate it, restoring it to its original state before it was blocked.

How to restore a blocked or disabled item:

1. From the main screen, or any of the screens with the toolbar, click the
Security Agents icon or menu option.

2. On the top right of the screen, under the Take me to... section click
Blocked Events.

3. A list of all items that have been either disabled or blocked is
displayed. Select the item you would like to re-enable or unblock and when
the item appears in the right details window click Reactivate Item. This
restores the item to its original state before it was deactivate.

4. To restore multiple items that have been disabled or blocked, select
each item and click Reactivate All Checked Items at the bottom of the
screen.

5. After you reactivate an item you should restart your computer to ensure
that the restored application runs.

I don't know how, but this evening, it finally kicked in
and identified a "trojan" virus; prompted me to invite it
to stay or leave, I asked it to leave, and now I'm back on!
