Shuts off too quick

XP shuts off before an external hardware RAID board has saved everything to disk. Does anyone know a way to prevent XP from automatically powering the machine off ?. I'll just let it sit a few seconds before killing the power.
 
I think this might be a BIOS setting. Have a look at your motherboard
manual.
