I had that happen once to one of my workbooks.
It was just one worksheet in a workbook with many worksheets.
My first workaround was to save the original workbook (with the problem sheet).
Right click, move or copy, but choose MOVE.
excel didn't crash.
Close the original workbook without saving.
This worked ok for me, but scared the heck out of me. I was using xl97 at work
where the problem occurred, and xl2002 at home.
I brought the workbook home and xl2002 said that it found trouble with the
workbook when I opened it.
It recovered the workbook, but the error didn't go away.
I rebuilt that troublesome worksheet and merged it into the original workbook
and dumped the bad one.
It's been working ok for a couple of years!
So even if the move suggestion works, you may want to look at recreating that
worksheet. Who knows how long you'll be able to even open that file--if the
workbook is really corrupted!
