I just reinstalled windows xp on my computer(a laptop),
and now, after the computer idles for about 10 or 15
minutes, it shuts down. I have already checked my power
properties, and thats not the problem, or at least it
shows ; is there another way that this could occur?
Maybe there is another way for the power profile to
change, or its something else?

When your system shuts down, does it look "planned" (i.e. you see the
"Shutting down" dialog, etc.), or is it abrupt (as in your computer shuts
down before Windows has a chance to do so)?

If it's the latter, you may have a hardware issue (i.e. your system may be
overheating and so your CPU shuts the system down).
