Shutdown

When i try to shutdown computer, it goes thru the steps to
shutdown and save but once you here the hard drive click
the screen goes blue and doesn't shut completely off.
Also when you try to restart computer it gets to the point
where you here the hard drive click but the blue screen
appears and the computer will not restart on it's own.
Can anyone help!

I had a similar problem. I called Microsoft and this was
the fix for me.
Placing the following registry key from a value of 0(boot)
into a value of 4(disabled):


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDR4VS
D
