Hei all..

Every time I try to shout down windows or even reboot, it it turns off my
screen, harddrive, but the PSU still running, cpu fan running and all. Is
this a known bug or do I haqvae to set something up ?

Some systems keep the fans running until the temperature drops.. it is not a
bug..

The behavior safeguards your processor.. the very last thing you want to do
is to turn it off.. :)

Hi there Mike, i read the other posts about Systems keeping fans running to
makesure all is cool etc.. I'm also running Ultimate 32Bit Q6600/Gigabyte
680i/4gig Corsair/8800GTX in SLi and all CPU temps are below 38c when i goto
close down. No overclocking at all.

Turned it off via Start/Shut Down and went for 10min Drive LOL, and the fans
were still going, have tried multiple Bios Configs and Vista Power Profiles,
to no avail. Any ideas.

Cheers

Hei Scott.

I have a dialog to Microsoft going and trying to solve the problem. There
first guess is that BIOS is outdated. And the Chipset drrivere is outdated
as well. I got a GA-N8-SLI Quard Royal. Thats a ratherr new motherboard, so
I don't think thats the problem.

Hei all.

I talk to Microsoft 2 times today and we think we found out whats the
matter. I use a USBkey as readyboost and that was the problem. I removed it
and now my computer shutdown as it should.!!!!

We also found out that the motherboard chipset was not yet supported for
vista 64bit, only 32bit. But it had no effect on my problemm above.!

Hope you can use my info.. Please feedback to me. Thanks.

Also I will keep you all updated as my dialog with Microsoft progress.

/Thomas
